> Gas density indicators
WIKA gas density indicators are hermetically sealed and temperature-compensated. Measured value fluctuations and misinterpretations caused by changes in either ambient temperature or atmospheric pressure are therefore prevented. The gas density indicators are manufactured entirely from stainless steel and are used for the on-site monitoring of the SF6 density on medium and high-voltage switchgear.
> Gas density sensors
For high-precision online monitoring of the gas density, temperature, pressure and humidity of SF6 gas in internal and external systems of SF6 gas-insulated equipment, WIKA gas density sensors are exceptionally suited. The instruments are notable for their high-accuracy sensor technology which guarantees very good long-term stability and EMC characteristics.
Optionally, there are hybrid solutions available which combine gas density transmitters with conventional gas density monitors with switch contacts.
> Gas density monitors
Gas density monitors from WIKA are fitted with up to three alarm contacts and reliably warn in advance of dangerously low gas levels. The monitoring of SF6 gas density in medium and high-voltage switchgear can thus be left to secondary technology.

> Gas density switches
Our gas density switches operate on the reference chamber principle: A chamber filled with SF6 gas serves as a reference. With environmental influences, the reference chamber behaves the same as the tank and thus does not cause any change in the switching status.
The instruments are suitable for medium and high-voltage levels and can be fitted with up to 4 micro switches. They are notable for their compact dimensions and the very high leak tightness of the reference chamber.
> Service equipment
Filling and handling equipment for SF6 gas are the central tools for the maintenance of gas-insulated equipment. For both installation and maintenance, WIKA supplies the complete product spectrum of efficient service equipment, starting from simple filling carts up to complex, fully automated all-in-one solutions.
> Analytic instruments
Discharges during switching operations in SF6 gas-filled plant lead, over time, to increased concentrations of toxic and highly corrosive decomposition products. The use of gas analysis instruments is absolutely necessary to monitor the concentration of harmful decomposition products, thus ensuring long-term plant safety.
> Detection instruments
Leakage in switchgear can cause high maintenance costs and, depending on the size, can quickly become a safety risk. Thus, gas leaks must be pinpointed promptly and reliably and then eliminated.
Our detection instruments are used for monitoring the air in enclosed rooms, locating leakage points and for integral leak testing. Even small quantities of SF6 gas can be detected in air.
> Valves, couplings and hoses
A suitable connection technology is essential for conducting the SF6 gas from one gas compartment to another without losses and in an efficient manner. Self-sealing valves prevent the gas from escaping unintentionally. Suitable hoses avoid that the gas is emitted into the atmosphere. Different nominal widths and materials are available for various applications.
> Calibration system
The robust modular calibration system model BCS10 serves for the inspection of the SF6 gas density measuring instruments by means of comparative measurements. This calibration system is used to check quickly and easily both pressure-based mechanical measuring instruments andelectronic measuring instruments. The CPGLog data-logger evaluation software can be used for an uncomplicated evaluation of the measured data. This software can be ordered optionally.
